I think you'll have to conjure up your own pricing...no one here will help.  Already tried that with the new exhaust...

Personally, I would expect to spend $75~115 for something similar from like JCWhitney or what have you.  How many hours of actual labor are involved and how much does it cost to build?

Can you really make this thing for $45?

12oz of resin is roughly $14.
1 yard of weave is roughly $4.
Finishing material...bondo, gel coat, etc... $10.

...I mean you'd almost be doing the work for free.

cafeboy

i know right. i was wanting the vote to be for the $50-$60 range so i can make a small bit on them. you can't work for free.

Just out of curiosity, how did you make the plug for your mold?  The fit looks very good.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Well to be serious if you were looing for $60, then I'd stick the cost at $75 shipped as I said before.  You'll sell plenty for that amount.

The only way you'd be able to justify the lower cost is if you build a mold and made the stuff out of plastic...and that will require a large initial investment.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
