+1 on this, I haven't seen the movie yet but I don't think that he's a James Bond.

Hell no ... and remmeber that the first movie of the new bond actor is usually one of the best ... Dalton's Living daylights and my personal favorite Brosnan in goldeneye were both absolutely cool. The next 2 Brosnan movies sucked ... especially that one with the chinese chick ... The invisible car one was OK ... but Nothing like Goldeneye or Living daylights. Now for this guy they already passed off a dud remix of a originally dud movie anyway ... AKA ... like we dont have any bullets ... and before the kids forget who Bond is ... lets throw the gun at them ... like WTF.
Yea JamesBond - Its what I trust to hold my dentures in ...
Cool.

I think the latest Bond movies suck. It seems that they're too interested in flashy visual effects & product placement, plus they don't have any decent theme songs any more.

I'll watch them cause they're Bond movies but they're not the same as they used to be.

I dunno... have you seen Layer Cake?  I was impressed with Craig.  And sorry, but the last movie with the invisible car was TERRIBLE.  Far worse than anything with Lazenby or Moore or Dalton.    But anyway, I think he'll do a decent job.  Trailer looks good.  Though living up to Connery will be hard/impossible.

Layer Cake was a good movie! That does give him a chance as 007, we'll have to see I guess. Hope that its more to the old style bond and not the hollywood flash, techno crap.
Go rent layer cake if you have not yet.

I was thinking Jason Statham would make a good Bond.  To me Brosnan was too "Pretty Boy" to be a good Bond.

The Buddha

I thought Goldeneye was the best Bond movie ever. Its followed closely by Living daylights. The worst was "Tommorow never comes and dies forever like yesterday wont if tommorow isn't here today" or whatever that crap was, right after goldeneye.
China and that Price guy (WTF is he, a really bad Bill Gates and ted Turner rolled into one - horror of horrors) and Teri Hatcher and chinnese girl with white BMW R 1200C. Stupid except the bike. The Invisible car one was also a little flimsy but after the previous one it was much much more tolerable.

I mostly agree, but have to give Moore a slight edge over Brosnan...  I really like Goldeneye, but not as much as Moore in the 80's...  Best Bond film is Goldfinger, partly because it has the best villian in it, and kitty cat Galore.

+1 on layer cake.  If you haven't seen this movie watch it before you go comletely discounting danny.  Hes got potential, but if the movie its self really sucks it won't matter who the bond is. Unless it was Sean Connery.

I enjoyed Layer Cake more than I thought I would.  Craig was very good in that movie and should at least get a punchers chance as Bond.
You ghey bobs would be all over the idea if he didn't have blonde hair.  Admit it.  And that is a credit to Brosnan.  Brosnan was Bond just as Connery was.   The fact of the matter is, if you locked all of those actors in a room with Daniel Craig, he could probably whip the sh*t out of them.
And yes, Golden Eye was the best Bond movie ever and yes, it was also the best adaptation to a Playstation game of any movie ever (except Enter the Matrix Path of Neo and Batman Begins).

The prelude in that flick was the best of any Bond movie -- hands down.
The long camera shot of Bond/Brosnan running makes it the best non-sex scene of any of the bond flicks. It is simple and electric.  Great cinematography.

It just goes to show you:

good actors + bad scripts + bad directors = bad movies (yawn)

Re the new guy -- he's got to do better than "Snakes are a Pain"

Maybe Craig is the new Roger Moore--the James Bond without dark enough hair.  I think Brosnan was superb and could have owned that character if he could've gotten out of his Remmington Steele contract prior to the Dalton Bond.
