and I started scrubbing off the chicken strips on my SV.  There aren't really any twisties in Kansas, so the fun is had riding entrance/exit clover leafs such as this one where K-10 meets K-7:

We took some pictures and a few videos.  Brandon (R6) kinda rides like a girl, and you better pass him otherwise you're in for a boring ride.  Andrew (R1) is difficult to keep up with.  I averaged about 67-68 mph on these ramps, and Andrew was doing about 70 mph.

Andrew (R1) and myself both managed to pass Brandon (R6).

Here's a crappy video of me on my SV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttb-mN85NXQ
where my toe touched down at one point..

The nearest track, to my knowledge, is in Wichita, about 3 hours away.  We're talking about doing a track day next summer.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

It's like a nascar track.  In reverse.  So how do you scrub the chicken strips off of the left side of your bike?
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

Fun!  :thumb:

Had to laugh when I heard the sirens, and see your boy get down in the grass with the camera.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

This is the only way I get my corning also.

I wonder what a cop would think about these actions.  (IMO, as long as you don't get above the speed limit, I think it's legal...  people will just think you're crazy)

The ramps are about the only time I ride wild. It's a good way to relieve stress after work as there's one on the way home.

Talk to Jake D and Destro, they know of some pretty good twisties around KC.  There are some OK twisties around my area.  There are tracks closer to you than Wichita.  There is one in Oklahoma just south of the Kansas border and one in Nebraska just north of the Kansas border.

Find a local track-going club (www.trackaddix.com is popular here in Manhattan) to find some open track days.  Let that SV1k breathe!!!

Oh, awesome pictures.  Isn't that right by Watson's?

haha, hey, you gotta work with what you have. Imaginative use of clovers. You DO need to find a way to wear off the left side of the tire or you'll be kicking yourself every time you need to replace tires and there's still good tread on them-I always do.

Topeka would be the nearest track.  I know they do a lot of track days there.  Talked to a few racers who say they love the track since they repaved it. I think Super Dave does a school there with visionsports for beginners to advanced.
