At least an inch of rain has dumped here in the last few hours. I went to go home from work and before the GS was warm I was drenched from head to toe, even with rubber pants on.

Cars were leaving 20-foot wide sprays behind them on the freeway. Could barely see the lane markers from all the standing water. Go around a right hand curve and there are "waves" of water flowing from the center divider. You just follow the wake of the cars ahead of you. It's the kind of rain that is falling so hard it doesn't drain anywhere... just starts stacking up on the road and splashing itself. Got into NW Portland and began unwittingly plowing through majorly flooded intersections... you know you live in Oregon when your GS leaves a wake that sprays above your own head.

I wish I had a picture of me going through these intersections... it's awesome. Am I the only one riding in this crap?

Oh how I know that damp feeling, we get it on the coast roads in rough weather and a nice salt-water spray which is probably why we see a lot of corrosion. Spare a thought for anyone living nearbye who has to cope with the "waves" at thier front door.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

Glad I'm in sc! You guys have fun, for Godsake, be safe!
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o

Yep, there are flood warnings all over the counties in the area where I live.  At the end of them is the phrase "Turn around, don't drown."  It is just absolutely soaking here in Western WA.  No riding for me.
