Yeah, I realize that and that is something that I need to figure into it too. My knee was bruised up nasty with a lump the size of half a damn orange for along time... whole inner and back of my thigh was black, purple and blue down to my ankle... lucklly no broken bones which was quite a miracle since it hit right by my kneecap which I've heard only takes like 18lbs/sq' of pressure to damage it. 400 pound bike at 30mph landing on my knee hurt like an S.O.B. seems much better now (3 months later) but still can't lean on it sometimes, gets sensitive to touch and there is about an 1" where I can't feel anything, not to mention discomfort and pain on and off from time to time..... still need time to heal and hopefully the long term damage is minimal, although either way it will be figured into any type of settlement.
