Actually I copied and pasted it from a Doc Wong e-mail I received! :P

Actually, I try to be conscious of stuff like that, so I'm ashamed that I didn't even think about the copyright issue. Thanks for helping me continue to walk the straight and narrow, scratch.  :kiss3:

I'll be doing penance this Sunday at about 3:00PM when my butt will be so sore I can barely get off my bike after Doc Wong's most awesome ride!

If I'm behind you, I'd better see you get up out of the seat when we go down Tunitas Creek ("goat trail") Road.

There's little chance that you'll be behind me in the Z-pace group, but I'll soak up any advice ya' have from now 'til then!  Gettin' my boo-tay off the seat is definitely something I need to remember to do... Now if I just felt comfortable sliding it over in the twisties....  :icon_twisted:

Well, it looks as though I won't be home in time to ride tomorrow. I went out of town yesterday, and I was supposed to be home today...but I'm not....  But I'm still having fun!  So have a safe ride, and I'll see y'all on the next ride! :thumb:

I'm sick, so I didn't go    Two of my friends did, and rode in Scratch's group.  The yellow 599 and the white/red CBR that went in a ditch.  Luckily the latter's rider is ok, and the bike damage wasn't TOO bad.

Anyway, I'll hopefully be able to make the next one.

It's a common place that people go down in, so I hear.  It's a tight, decreasing-radius right hand turn with a tree right at the edge on the inside of the turn, it kinda blocks the view of the road; no bumps from the roots.  I never topped 30mph.

The guy on the yellow 599 did great!  :thumb:  As did the CBR rider, he finished the ride!  :thumb:

Gosh, I hope Doc is allright!

Glad to hear the rider was able to finish!  :thumb:

Doc Wong wasn't badly hurt (it sounded as though he was bruised?), but he's hoppin' mad (and rightly so)!

Yeah he told me about the turn - sounded nasty.  He was ok though, and finished the ride, like you said.  He was just really bummed about the tank damage.

The 599 guy, who's the cockiest guy I have ever met, and never passes up an opportunity to ask me when I'm getting a bike faster than his car, said that "the skinny dude on the purple bike" was pretty impressive.

So I had to go to Monterey yesterday and decided to ride down Hwy 17 to Hwy 1.  Never again, some crazy people on 17   :o .  On the way back I took 152 from Watsonville just to check it out.  It's meh....  Next time I will just go up 9 or Bonny Doone.

I like Watsonville Road....it's nice on a hot day, because there's nice shade along the way!  :icon_mrgreen:
