FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i bought her!

first off, big thanks to Tom B at Honda East for the SWEET deal!!!

2005 SV1000s with 2006 plastics...

0 miles, it was very weird when i drove off, looking down and seeing 0 miles on the ODO....  i had to double/triple look, very weird...  but i like it!!

being there is 0 miles on the bike, i wasnt able at all to get on it, no way i was going to give it a chance of messing anything up...

but i asbolutely LOVED the handling and the feel of the bike.  I definitely LOVE, and i mean LOVE the sound of that stock exhaust, i dont know if i wanna get rid of it, lol...

the bike sounds like a cobra with a set of flowmasters, but still a hair quieter...

didnt take her past 65mph on the 30 mile ride home, or above 5,000 rpm.

i plan on getting it past the first 500 mile marker this sunday!!!!!  i am DEF going on the sunday ride this sunday!!!  then i will travel around ohio.  prolly go up to cleveland, take rte 6 the whole way, its a VERY nice ride along the lake to Cleveland, a lil chilly.

heres the pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im sooooooooooo unbelievably happy with this bike, oh, and for the engine noise, i hardly notice it, my gs500f was SOOOOOO much louder with the engine noise.

He's been so excited lately...I'm sure he wont.  He's likely sleeping in the garage...

Sweet bike, but definitely look into an aftermarket exhaust.  You will not believe the difference.  Every time I hear Jake D's Jardines on his Superhawk, I giggle!

Verrr niice... sexy time.

Its amazing, the dry weight is pretty near the gs500, actually the unfaired is even lighter. And almost the same price! wtf!

considering upgrading ... not sure if faired or not. Plus I have to move to LA. Are there any quirks to it like soft forks with the GS?

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Out of curiosity.. what parts are interchangeable between an SV1K and a gs500?

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Do I detect sarcasm? Anyway...
Enjoy the bike. Very Nice!

The engine and frame.  Well, that is if you also use the tank, suspension and body work.

im completely fine with a 1000, from throttle control to handling.  Yah i pulled a wheelie, i have before on bikes, not the gs, but i have.  it wasnt something that i just decided to do for the hell of it.

but i like the responsibility on this bike, with throttle control and everything else.  makes me work to be a safer rider.  i was too comfortable on the gs and have been wanting to upgrade and this deal popped up.  i was looking at an 06 gixxer 600.  the 600 has 12 more hp than the SV and the SV has 71 torque.  so its not much different, just a lil more torque i think...

being too comfortable on the gs was getting to me...  i wasnt really scared anymore, which i have always heard is a bad thing.
