Are there any protective items available for the gs?

Just to reiterate, this is my first bike and I still haven't hit the 1000 mile mark yet.  With that being said I've already set my bike down twice.
Once because I let the clutch out to fast, it lurched and caught me off balance.  Then second I was leaning a little to far in a curve and it slid out from under me.  So now I have slight scuffing to both sides of my bike, it is no biggy to me as long as it runs.  But, one of my friends asked me if there were any frame sliders or anything else available for them.  Since I don't know I thought I would ask.  Is there any frame slider type equipment for the gs?

I got to looking at my bike and I wonder if anyone has ever considered making something that would utilize the lower engine cover's bolts to make some sort of reinforced frame slider?  So the bikes weight would be triangulated on that slider, the wheel, and the end of the handlebar.  This is just a question I thought up.  I do take criticism but you don't have to slam if you think its dumb.  But if you have any positive thoughts or ideas please let me know.

yes...^^^ caseguards for nakeds, frame sliders for faired F models. Not sure if the case guards fit on the F's, but I doubt it (gstwin search is your friend for that answer)

I thought the only frame sliders currently available were the ones that used the stock cheesy brackets for the fairings. If that is true then they do not provide any protection to speak of.
Common sense in not very common.

Nah, there are some out of Europe that use the front engine mounts. Pretty decent, but I've seen too many frame sliders just snap off in a crash. Saw it happen on Nov. 11 track day too. GSX-R got layed over and the frame slider got a few scratches before it just snapped right off. When I picked it up later I found that it had just barely touched the ground before it was sheared off, the only scratches being at the very tip, and only about 1/16" or 1/32" deep.

Ok, now I remember them.

How some of the sliders hold up will depend on the grade bolt used and if they use a bracket. It would not surprise me that some of the cheap ebay ones use non-graded bolts. Plus some of those do not have a sleeve for the bolt, so you can only tighten against the nylon. Good luck getting that bolt to stay tight. Also, I have seen some "no-cut" sliders brackets break from a non-moving drop and even crack from vibration.

Sheite guys ... I absolutely have to make this ... I will ... just that too much is going on right now. Shearing off ... what a joke. But then the whole damn GSXR is a joke. You dont shear this, the entire bike will fall apart ... leaving this as the only bit that's not busted ... Big freaking deal.
