Will 05 Forks Fit an 89?

I am sick of my front forks.  I think the right one is bad.  I changed the seal (FINALLY) and it's leaking again.  The rubberized coating inside the brass seal ring was deteriorated. 

I see a pair of forks for an 05 on eBay.  Will they work?

I'm about to swap some forks from an '89 onto my '02 (as soon as I can afford them)
