Hi ladies and Gents!  I havn't posted in a dogs age, but of course, I'm onto yet another bike.



1992 Gixxer 750.

So despite its almost new appearance, it has the rust in tank issue. Unfortunately, the paint is PERFECT, so I'm looking for a place to send the tank too to get it professionally done.
I have a radiator place here that acid washes and polymer coats the whole business, but it strips the paint. I need a place, willing to ship anywhere, that'd do it without screwing the paint.  Any places anyone know of?

Also holy crap about Phaedrus, I remember him. Sad to see ;[

Dont know of any places for the tank, but sweet bike, the L frames are the best of them!

Send it to Srinath, I hear he Kreems tanks really well. No paint stripping and it'll take care of your rusting issues.

Yea the srinath, yea ... Anyway - winter is the wrong time to be doing it, but then again, its the perfect time to do it. You can do it yourself too. And yes Thin kreem or thin POR will be the best, and DIY is better if you follow the precautions.
Cool bike, I have a 90 1100 myself. Now could I have the rear shock and front end off that thing.

Some navy guy bought a house/barn in the northeast kingdom (i.e. right on the canadian border). In the barn he found

2 70's Can am Racer enduros
a 1952 Merc (300?) real wood interior 
A couple weird project cars.

I bought that thing covered in dust and not running for 1000
I dusted it, waxed, new battery, started right up.

It ran for a while before it did the 3 cylinder rust in carb thing.

Are those the stock front forks on that bike?

Also, I've wanted an early 50's Merc since I was about 12 years old.  I'm a big lead sled fan.
