We just finished the Bay Area GS ride, and it was a pretty good time.  Scratch picked some good roads, not too much traffic.  I had a good time meeting everyone.  Damn Bob is FAST!!!!!  I think I learned more in one day chasing him than I have in two years of riding around myself.  By the way nice paint job Bob.  It was very cool to put faces with all the names.  The weather was spectacular too!  Thanks for the fun you guys :thumb:

Yeah I had a great time today too!  I just have this problem with remembering names lol.  I'm good with faces but suck at names.  It was cool getting some riding tips from you all  :thumb:

I think next I won't stay out so late the night before

Smart me brought my digital camera but only took 1 pic.  Luckily I wasn't the only one with a camera

Thank you all for coming! I glad you had a good time considering this was the first time I've ever organized something like this. I tried. Next time I'll print out a map for everybody. So, I'm learning...for the next time, it will be better. I'm also, considiering posting on BARF (just once) to let more people in the bay area know about GStwin.com. I saw on BARF a posting for a newbie ride this past weekend, and considering usually newbies ride a GS500, that's not a bad idea to have a newbie (or relatively new) GS500 ride (better grouping, I mean, to keep the group together, I know there was a little problem, I'm sorry for that, but I'll try to do better (I'm not NEARLY as fast as Bob or Piper! Holy cats!)). So, any comments on how to make the ride better are welcome. I don't want any bad feelings.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Great ride scratch!  I'm really glad I came for the ride and to meet all the bay area folks.  We should definitely do this again.

I learned more about riding than I have since I started...hopefully one of these days I'll be a good enough rider to actually keep Mike & Bob within sight. :thumb:
They couldn't keep Death out, but while she was in she had to act like a lady.

I had fun!
The weather was perfect, the roads were great, and the company was pleasant.
No complaints here!
We must do it again soon.

P.S. I will post the pics I took as soon as I get them processed. Gotta use the rest of the exposures before I get them developed.

It was a cool ride.  The seperation wasn't that bad, it was just coming out of parking lots and at stop signs and stuff.  I think it was just my hunger talking ;)

I think there are a few newbs with Ninja 250's and GS's there so I think that's a good idea.

I'll have to get that K&N and we can tune up my carbs a bit.  I can supply lunch or dinner or something.  I'd say beer too but this probably requires some riding so thats a no go.  Since my bike appears to have mods from the previous owner I question that my carbs are still on the stock jetting but we'll see
