This is really simple but I took off the tank to get to my air filter and now that i'm putting it back on I can't remember which hose is primary and which is reserve.  On the remote fuel switch (rfs) there is a fuel hose to the right and fuel hose on the bottom (as well as others but these are the ones coming from the tank).  does the one on the right of the rfs attach on the shorter tank nipple on the right and the hose coming from the bottom of the rfs attach to the longer nipple on the left or visa versa.  I'm heading out tonight and if I get them wrong and draw from the reserve as primary, then when i'm outa gas.. i'm outa gas.. and I don't want that to happen.  So could someone either check there rfs and follow the hoses to the tank for me.. or just tell me from memory, since i'm sure there are members who know there bike by heart.

My rfs is different than that.  There is a hose on bottom and a hose on the right, not on the left and right.  I take it the left hose is the same as the hose coming from the bottom?
I have an 06 and its not the same.. i guess i'll just assume it is as above and fill up before I go out tonight.

the pipe exiting your petrol tank closest to the headlight (also is the longer of the two pipes)  is the reserve pipe. It goes into the connector on the peacock closest to the rear.

Ixolas' plight brings up a good point - there was no change in the OEM manual regarding the tank hose connections for the K1+ models. K4 had some major changes regarding the hoses around the carburettor. The PAIR system introduced some major added plumbing.

We discussed this previously in another thread CLICK HERE.

Perhaps LimaXray's pics will help?

Thanks for answering my question directly instead of just routing me somewhere else.
I appreciate it.

No worries. Had the same problem myself, and the diagrams took too long to decipher (considerring they are not correct). Easier if someone just tells you.
