So one night x^2 holds a function party. All the functions are drinking and having fun, except for e^x, who is standing in a corner. x^2 goes up to him and asks, "why dont you integrate yourself with the party?" "Because," said e^x, "it wouldnt change anything..."

I think he meant "S" to be the integral sign. I know there was some group at Michigan tech that had "integral sign"e^x on shirts cause it kinda looked like it said sex

Not really, there were several assumptions made, though if the problem were academic in nature -- i.e. not related rates of connected draining tanks, etc, -- we applied it.

Geez that HP48 with software made much of the DiffEQ stuff easier -- well not so agonizing if you screwed something up on the front end.
