I agree with Yankee.. I've been spouting since I joined that an RSV250 is my dream bike!

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Yeah, a 125cc two stroke. I'm not sure if the first one is a special model or an 07, but this pic is of a standard Aprilia RS125 for 2006.

I'd take either one, but I think the first one looks freakin sweet!
Being naked was great, but now that I'm older I thought I should cover up!!!!

Mods?  What mods, no really its stock!!

What is it you don't understand, cubic centimeter's, or the thrill of riding a super lightweight but powerful 2-stroke sport-bike.

It's a two stroke racebike that's not too far off the horsepower of the GS. Then to boot it's got much better suspension, brakes, etc. and it weighs much less.

the thrill of riding a super lightweight but powerful 2-stroke sportbike. Course, Ive never ridden one. I guess, by the looks of it, it must be powerful and fast enough to warrant all the cool styling and quality looking parts.

Where do they make up for the vastly lower cc's? By cutting weight? Engine efficiency?

With a few simple mods you can get your GS to do 0-60's in under 6 seconds, and your 1/4 mile in under 14 seconds at over 90mph, I like to see a street legal scooter that could even come close to that.

Honda silverwing! the SUPER SCOOTER!

It's a TWO STROKE... they make considerably more power per CC than our 4 strokes. They're just ridiculously inefficient, high maintenance, and non street legal.

Those are nice, but 600cc, and the over all size of it, and after reading that report I think its a motorcycle for people who don't get the concept of a clutch.

yea i wouldnt buy one, but i am intrigued by them.
gotta salute honda for just going nuts, like they did with the goldwing, and the rune.
i love it when vehicle companies build something totally over the top, even if it isnt my cup of tea.

If some one ask you is it scooter ??? There is two options :

1- He want to drive u like crazy and make u very sad

2- He never understand what is motorbike

Better dont listen them and just say "I am not speak with turtles sorry"

If you talk about 125cc race bike , let me tell you. Very famous Italian bike company Cagiva has 125cc 2 stroke race model and top speed is 200 km/h  :thumb:

So next time if u will race with 125cc 2stroke race bike think twice before had any scandal :icon_razz:

Check it

First video show u top speed

Second show u the bike had 15000 rpm , crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Speaking of scooters, has anyone seen people on scooters wearing leathers? I must've seen hundreds of scooters this past year (college campus, those Vespa or Vespa-look-alikes are another of those must-have items for sorority girls, I guess), but I swear I've never seen any of them wear any sort of gear (and only about 25% of the ones i saw were wearing a full face helmet). Seem's kind of odd, since I figure if you can go as fast as a motorcycle (which they claim all the time), then wouldn't you fall just as hard if you go down? :cookoo:

This is good. I am going to use this one.

Most people on scooters dont wear leathers because they cant go as fast as motorcycles.

The most popular scooter suze is 50cc.  Top speed is about 75kmph and it takes them a while to get anywhere after 60 kmph.  Here you dont even need a bike license to drive a 50cc scooter just a car license.

2-strokes typically make twice the horsepower, and weigh half as much as an equivilent (siq) displcement (cc's) 4-stroke.  Ex: a 500cc 4-stroke makes 40hp, while a 500cc 2-stroke will make 80+hp; the 4-stroke will weigh 400lbs, while the 2-stroke will weigh about 240lbs.

Note: For every 12lbs added, you lose 1hp (or is it 6lbs?); so if you can lighten a bike 12lbs, you can effectively gain a horse[power], because the engine doesn't have to work as hard to push the weight.  So, actually a 2-stroke makes 4 times the power of a 4-stroke.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

The days of four strokes needing twice the displacement to match two strokes is over. There have been some great improvements in four stroke technology. This is why the 250cc motocross class has 450cc four stroke singles. The 500cc two stroke GP bikes of back in the day made about 180+ HP, while the 990cc four stroke machines were easily making over 230HP.

Also, rideability of two strokes is another thing to discuss. They simply don't have the linear power delivery that a four stroke does, which in turn makes them a bit more difficult to ride.
