And a very Happy 2007 to you Pandy! 

Mrs. Starwalt and I rang in the new year at a big party at the Hilton in Greenville, SC.

The live band ball room was much easier to tolerate than the DJ room (way too LOUD).

We did get to dance, but with most of the music all the same (swing or slow cha-cha), we enjoyed the people watching more. Others consumed copius amounts of alcohol whereas we embibed a little (it wasn't good at that) and had the champagne toast at midnight (even worse champagne).

At brunch today, as we were leaving, a group of cruisers and GW riders came riding in. About the #4 rider into the lot dropped his big, black, heavy GWing and passenger also!     No gravel or sand, just another low speed 90 degree turn into a parking lot with a fair gutter dip prior to the lot. The group had uprighted the GWing before we saw the results of the fall. The passenger was limping away, but they all had mostly proper gear on. It was a sorry way to start the new year, but at least they rode away from that fall.

So out with the old year and let's welcome the new year! Stay upright everyone. It's not a stable position, but it doesn't make people stare and point.
