Even if you agree with the war this is a bigger black hole for american tax money than anything else at the moment. They are paying like 100k a year for civilian contractors to do menial work over there.

Is it not unfair to blame your taxes or problems on illegal aliens, when a very high percentage of them are employed at jobs that Americans aren't competing for? Graveyard janitor shift at Wal-Mart, anyone? Bussing tables anyone? Picking strawberries 6am-6pm anyone?

No doubt the government has waste to trim, but I don't think poor people as a whole (or illegal aliens) are getting rich off the government.

well poor people in general I dont think are getting rich.. I have been in the poor house for a few years in the past.. it is not fun trying to pray for gas money to get to work and trying to figure out where your dinner is coming from and all you have is a bag of chips out of the vending machine because you scrounged up everything you had to make the rent.  YEA IT SUX.

Thank God I am not in that situation anymore and I do well.

but it is the people who take advantage of the system. who use their minority status  to claim  things they dont deserve. so on and so on.

even some of the poorest people in America live like kings compared to people in other countries. yet we still have the idea that we owe them someone. I never got a dime from the govt when I was poor and didnt expect to either.   I just wish we could actually force people to work for thier money instead of just giving it to them..



here is a really good example and will probly piss a lot of you off as it did me.

my ex gf went on that zoloft or whatever the  anti depression pill. then she went and claimed disibility and gets 800$ a month just because  she has "anxiety" WTF i have anxiety the whole world has anxiety! but she gets paid for it. and she is freeken normal I swear its just a easy way to get money.   all she did was go to the docter docter said she doesnt have to work because of it.... send it in .. gets 800$ a month for nothing... and this system works how?

I think welfare is a good idea, to a limit. Not a open ended check! After a time limit, sorry no more free cheese for you time to pick up a shovel!
I see it in the construction field, all the brick layers around here are mexican, most if not all are illegal. I've seen em haul azz from imigration. But no one wants to be a mason? Its frikn hard,back breaking work. They'd rather sit back have kids and get their check!
I did be like oh, you wanna be on the dole? Well 1st get your tubes tied or get the depo shot or whatever then well set you up, but only for x amount of time.

agreed. somtimes I come off harsh because I just get fed up with everything. being on the border patrol made me even hate illeagal immagration more. but anyways I know that taxes are still needed I guess ill just have to keep striving to make more and more and more money untill i feel im living comfortably enough lol.

I work as a fabricator welder for a steel erection company and it is hard freeken work infact im sick of it. im going back to doing photography as my full time job . kinda sick of being black and dirty all day although I have no need to go to a gym considering I work with steel all day haha. but it is a good point that no one really wants to work the contruction stuff all the time. its good for a little while but it makes you OLD REAL QUICK!

re contractors in iraq:

100k, or actually 120k is what the lady makes who sits in the computer room where base employees and soldiers go to check their email.

The vast majority of "contracters" are not ex-special forces security, but drivers, cooks, janitors, laborers, etc.

Numerous contractors, ie. staff or administrative types, who never leave the bases in Iraq or Afghanistan, are supplied with pimped-out SUVs with leather, sound system, rims, etc. There are pictures of rows of them being unused, they are never driven off of the base.

The companies are paid on a cost-plus basis. That means they are compensated for all of their costs, plus a percentage. Thus, more cost = more percentage. As a result, $80,000 semi rigs are torched by the side of the road for lack of an oil filter, or a flat tire, etc. Ordered shipment of wrong computers? Smashed with bulldozers and written up. Why do it for 100k and make 10k when you can make 100k by costing $1 million?

one of the biggest things I have yet to understand is a tax on gifts or bonuses .... why would you get taxed on somthing givin to you ?

then if you inherit a lot of money it is taxed on top of what was already taxed out of it just because you were givin that? i dont get it. when I leave money to my kids I will give them specific instructions to never tell a soul about it nor to claim anything on taxes about it.   and like I said before I dont even know how to start with my stocks and mutual funds im sure ill get screwed some way with them as well.

just wait till you get taxed on last years tax return...talk about a frikkin joke.

and you can control how much, if any, taxes are taken in case of inheritance...you just have to be smart about it. and have a lawyer set you up a trust. if you simply leave them an inheritance they'll get taxed at 50% or some rediculous amount. but there are legal ways to shield that money. better (cuz its legal) than your method of not reporting it.
