So I have been working on getting my GS500 race prepped and man is it a lot of work  :icon_rolleyes:


Any racers have any pics of how they mounted the tach, and do they use the stock tach

u should be able to use the stock guage cluster and triple cover if you want.

just cut off some of that extra black plastic on the side of the guages so the clipons will fit. With my Woodcraft clipons I was able to get them in my perfect position and keep the stock guages; no problem. You dont need to cut INTO the side of the guages, but you'll see what I mean by the extra plastic. It's more towards the front; I cut it off with a pair of cissors.  ;)

just tape up the speedo. It's a quick & easy fix if you're pressed for time or have a lot to do.

Aplha's idea is good too, but I think I remember the tach was set at a really akward angle; right? I'm sure you could get it to work too though.

Yeah, All I would have had to do was bend those little metal tabs and it would have fixed it. No big deal.
