I'm thinking of putting a camera on my bike or helmet for my trip this summer, but i'm not exactly sure what to do yet. I have a camera with an 8 hour battery and I can get some long tapes (yes i know, it's out of date, but it is free!) I was thinking of getting a bullet camera but not sure which brand, something with sound would be good. Not sure where to attach it. I can't get one of those gas tank mounts for the camera because I have a tinted shield. Any ideas? This is for the GSXR. Or should it point out the rear?

you will be MUCH happier with the tank mount I think, just swap back to the stock clear.

Before you go looking for a bullet cam, make sure that your camera has a video IN plug.

Mount it on your front fender, Ala Ghost Rider.

I got the sport touring shield for a reason, I'm not riding it stock shield for 8 hours! I think the camera has the input, i guess i should check that out

look for the Mantis camera mount, it'll probably get it up and over the windscreen... but that could be a bad thing.

yeah, prob get bugs all over it, tha's why i was thinking just throw it in a backpack and mount a bullet cam somewhere. this shield is 4 inches taller than stock and a different angle. i'm thinkin do what circles said

I could, but I just bought this one, and it was like close to $100 I think.

if you're worried about bugs smacking your camera....  it'll happen on the front fender too.

i would do just a bullet cam though, then only that part would get dirty, not the entire camera.
