Who needs a gasket if you got good mating surfaces?

The pics do no justice...the inside is nice and shiney...looks sparkly new except for the oil and grime.  I'm not going to gain anything, I fear, by pulling the jug so I'm considering just not doing it.  It's got to be another problem.

The bike has a battery basket so I'm going to stick 12v to her and see what changes.  I can't see anything happening, though, because the bike is by all accounts solid state...plus it's got lots of fire!  I found the good-old-fashioned-lick-your-finger-grap-the-plug-and-crank way.

Mak, this project is pretty fuggin cool. And I hope I never have to lick my fingers and grab a live plug. lol.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

It's a rather shocking experience, but sometimes it's the best way to determine how strong the current is.

True.My old CZ didn't use any Gaskets anywhere.Funny How the Czechs could Make an Engine that tight with 50 year old machinery and have no leaks at all and Harley Davidson has trouble keeping Fluids in and Air out with Gaskets using New Technology.

Not true...AMF had a problem keeps the seals intact.  Harley Davidson, when running under it's own power, never had a problem accomplishing this.
