size of handlbars for an 89?

what's the measurement of an 89's handlebars?  are most bikes 7/8"?

They're 7/8". Mine are just made out of tube stock that Turd was kind enough to bend for me.

I think he was talking about bending it a little (Banana) to clear a 01+ tank.

Yeah, I have an '02, the tank is wider, they had to be bent out so they would clear the tank at full lock.

Srinath, I shipped it and got it back.. seems they post office didn't like my method of taking an old box that had writing on it, and wrapping it in duct tape to cover the writing, then writing in marker on the duct tape.. so they sent it back to me. Bastages. I guess I'll actually BUY a box, or something, I've got it sitting here, waiting on my boss to deposit some $$ in my checking account later today. I'll send you a delivery confirmation number (probably tomorrow, cuz I don't think I'll have the money by 5 today)

you can always wrap the box in brown paper and use packaging tape instead.  they'll accept it that way.

Good to know, thanks. But I don't have any brown paper.. might as well just buy a new box.. or maybe I can find an old shoebox around here.. we'll see... Either way, I won't have the money to ship it again until tomorrow.
