Borrowing heavily from a chart in the Haynes manual, I tried to take almost all of the math out of the "replacement shim selection" process by creating THIS CHART.  (The Haynes chart didn't account for non-standard thicknesses, didn't include inch-based measurements, and didn't have the extra notes.)

All you have to do is 1) measure accurately and 2) interpret the chart correctly.   :thumb:

Unfortunately, I goofed at the far right of the chart by skipping over the 3.10 shim thickness entirely.   Oops!  :oops:  I'll try to remember to fix that one of these days....  Luckily, I've never heard of anyone who had to deal with shims in that thickness range.
