headlight & mirrors

I'm going to take off my fairing and replace it with a normal headlight (the headlight unit on the fairing is worn and it's blown 5 bulbs in 400 miles  and I'm fed up of shifting all that plastic for simple repair/ servicing jobs). Quick questions: is the GS headlight 7" (or will a universal 7" headlight fit the GS)?
What is the thread size on the mirrors, 8mm or 10mm?

The headlight is a 7 inch, but from what I understand the GS headlight is somewhat of a shallow headlight from front to back. I believe that the mirrors are 8mm.
