Well i cant really say post GS because i don't own one hehe. Just my ZXR400.

But my next bike. Id love a BMW R1200 GS  :icon_mrgreen:

I have the upmost respect for the bike and it will do anything i want, from touring to commuting and being practical.

I'm thinking a SV 650s  or a bandit 650, or possibly but doubtfull the bigger brothers of those the SV1000s or the Bandit 1200.  I agree about sport bikes there fun but daily use isn't that comfortable.  But I won't make any decisions until after I sell the gs.

Either a Honda 919 (cb900f for those outside the US) or else a VFR800.  I'd like either in matte black, but I'm not too picky.  Leaning more towards the VFR lately.

Probably a GSX-R 600 to keep up with my husbands CBR 600

i like the Kawasaki Ninja 650R or the ZZR600.  both can be found second-hand for less than $5k.

i also like the SV650.  i want something with at least a half fairing.  i don't think i need anything more than a 650cc bike unless i get a cruiser more than 400 lbs.

put a second-hand Triumph Thruxton or Buell XB9R on the list too.

SV 650S is hot!  It's fast quick out of turns looks great

I already have my second bike: SV650S baby! He was an excellent next step. I don't have the time my commuter GS needed for wrenching to keep him babied along (or any real desire to wrench much  :flipoff:), so I bought the SVS, and he's been a gem. He's a bit more powerful, but not so powerful that I've gotten into trouble. He's not quite as forgiving of n00b errors as the Baby G, but he's still plenty forgiving (much more than a supersport would be). Once I had him lowered, I even stopped (mostly) dropping him.  :icon_lol: If it weren't for his square commuter tires, he'd probably flick a little easier in the twisties.

My next next bike will likely be a Gixxer 600 or 750 (probably in another couple of years).  The 750 is almost low enough for me to flat-foot it now... but those fairings still scare me too much with my propensity for....er...parkin' 'im horizontally (see my avatar, courtesy of the brilliant artist, aaronstj  :kiss3:)...  :icon_mrgreen:

I get blamed for EVERYTHING around here!
:woohoo:

Absolutely in love with the ergos of the CBR600RR.  Made me forget I wanted a GSX-R 750.

Problem is, I'd like to start doing some touring in a year or so.  And I only get one bike for track and touring.

Screw it, I'm getting a Hayabusa.

I've just hit 7,000 miles on my '05 this weekend, and I'm starting to give serious thought to "trading up" before I need tires and the 8,000 mile service.  So...

The next bike will most likely be a V-Strom, because a seriously long trip around the US of A is on my list-o-things-to-do.

But having been around A LOT of motorcycles in the past 2 years, there are SO many bikes I would LIKE to have.  I definitely lust for a V-Max!

And this part is just preaching to the choir:  Choosing the GS as my first (and second) bike was a really smart move!  Excellent all-around bike to learn on!
On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

After my first 8000 motorbike miles, no complaints here either. The GS is a rockstar.

i like the VMax too in some strange sort of way.  and the used prices make them VERY affordable.
