I was splitting  traffic on the 5 north coming home from work.
A van crossed the double yellow right next to me and hit me.
It happened so fast, I think the forks broke off with the impact with the van.
I think bounced off the van and hit a truck. Then I slid (guessing)20 feet.

I showed the cops the video and he said "Thats the best insurance that you can have."

In the hospital everyone wanted to see the vid.

The video is long and I need to edit it.
I need to figure out what program to use.

Im so glad I was wearing all the gear.
The doctor said it saved me.

Is it just me or should those Tubes have Broken in Half Like that.I've seen many of a Wreck and Never seen tubes Snap like that.Bend to beat Hell but Never Break No matter How Small or How Big.From What I've found Here and from Others Outside of the Board that Have GS500's the Forks Bend Way too Easy.Suzuki Should either Up the Tube Size or Use Better material.There's Still a lot of Variables in your Case but still........ Mind if I share one of Pictures with a Few Guys and See what they say About it?They have been Around and Worked On just About Every Suzuki (And Others) Model Made and Really Know their Stuff.I'd really like to know if they Have everr seen Tubes Snap like that.

Glad your OK for the Most Part Man.Soak in Plenty of Warm Epsom Salts Water.It will take care of a lot of the Soreness and If you have any Abrasions or Cuts it will burn like Hell but will make them heal Faster and Cut Down on Chances of infection and or Blood Poisoning.It will Also Help any Bruising Disappear in a Short Time.

careful with your painkillers! Don't take any aspirin stick to something like Tylenol,  doctors didn't hook you up with any cool drugs? Aspirin is a blood thinner and just to be safe its not good to take anything like that after an accident. Ice for the first 24 hours, then you can start alternating between warm and cold. Warm baths are definitely a + I was so ungodly sore after my wreck I cant imagine how sore you are! Glad you are ok!
