Bridges & strange fear/phobia

I have this apprehension of going under certain bridges due to a phobia of debris/rocks being thrown from above.  Is this strange and unlikely?  (Several yrs ago a person was killed on the OH Turnpike due to thrown asphalt...thugs never caught).
Have 2 bikes and 1 scooter (125cc).  Other bike is Kawasaki Ninja 250, as well as the Suzuki GS500.  Recently sold the Ninja.  Added the checkerboard decals to the GS.  They are reflective 3M decals.

That's weird. I'm afraid of trees
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o

for me its Oranges.. there so damn smug with their orange skin and delicious juice.. but just you wait.. they'll have there revenge and when they do.. ..  .. I'll be safe in my orange proof bunker... sure it sounds crazy but just you wait man.. just you wait..

But seriously I havn't really thought about that.. ... UNTIL NOW..  THANKS ALLOT.  :icon_mrgreen: I have however thought about the walkways over the highway, but not until I saw a group of 3-4 kids standing up there... I knew they were plotting something.  So ya I try to look up, if even for a second to check it out.
I guess its not really a fear but I do hate when I see a large flock of birds/geese flying or sitting on the lines over me.. I really dislike getting sharted upon.

My biggest fear riding my gs is going over rr tracks.  I just know that one of the little gates is gonna come down and clothesline me one day... :dunno_white: :o
I'm not lazy just a master of efficiency

For me it's just traffic jams. I get paranoid in those so fast.

wussies...I'm afraid of nothing but human stupidity.  I don't like clowns...or carnies...though.  It's more of a "I'll kill you" don't like instead of an "eewww don't touch me" dislike.

Oh and billions of people drive through underpasses every day but only one guy a couple years ago succombed to thugs.  I think the odds are in your favor.  It's not like the odds of hitting the ground when your plane is crashing.

im afraid of going around corners fast when i cant see whats there. today i made up in the canyons above ojai and came around and there was a bunch of guys on harleys sitting around and clogging the whole lane on my side :o. some werent even riding! they just thought it was a nice place to rest i suppose.....

Ha ha.

When it was stormy out I was ultra paranoid about trees or tree limbs falling down... lots of trees fall in storms here.

Sounds like a fear that is way out of proportion to the likelihood of its occurrence. Make more sense to be cringing and whimpering every time you pass an SUV with someone talking on the cell phone and looking at a map.

I had that happen... kinda.  Leaving a parking ramp, the gate went up for me, but came down on top of my helmet.  I surprised me pretty good and broke my face shield latches, but overall I was ok.  The building owners' insurance cut me a check for a new helmet

My cousin was actaully almost killed a couple years back by chunk of cement that fell from a overpass, through her windshield and landed in the back seat of her car. They said that if it was only a couple inches over, it would have probably decapitated her. She now has a large scar from the glass and always has to wear turtle-necks.

So your fears are not unfounded . . . I dont like to think what that would do on a motorcycle . . . :icon_confused:

Probably, but you're not alone; after a couple well publicized incidences, the State of Oregon mandated that all freeway overpasses must have chainlink fencing to help prevent such deadly vandalism.

I have a fear of sheep, but I just go and do it.

Seriously.  Spiders are at the top of my list.  Then height.

The height issue is a problem, 'cause I wanna learn to fly and skydive.
