Unlike the low rumble the GS produces, the CBR Does sound amazingly sexy... I'm not saying the GS sounds bad or anything, but when you're at a light with a friend on a CBR it spawns serious jealousy ....

that's a beautiful bike, I've been waiting for them to come widely available.  Do you mind if I ask what they're selling for?  The local dealer doesn't have any and if they did I'm sure they'd be waaay over MSRP.

Depends where you are really.  I paid MSRP plus tax.  I heard people are paying $14,000 for them in California. Which seems crazy, but the market will support that to some extent there, it being a new bike, and Spring time.

To each their own.  I don't think I got a deal, but I don't think I paid too much either.  Plus the dealer is close (as in I don't have to drive an hour to Denver) and they seem pretty nice there.  I'm sure I could have waited a few months for the price to go down, but if I always behaved pratically, I wouldn't be buying a sportbike, would I?

Sound--
I didn't mind the sound of the GS, in that I didn't notice it.  The CBR--wow.  Especially as the revs go up.  Like watching a race, but I'm riding it.

To think I thought a 600 wouldn't be "enough"--how dumb was I?

Hubby gets the GS.  Guess I should peel the "batgirl" off the windscreen...

My R6 with it's Micron exhaust seriously sounds like a jet engine.  I LOVE it.

Holy crap that is retarded.  The dealer is making mad bank off the sales if they are selling them that much over the MSRP.  Soemthing about that seems a little shady, glad i'm in VA and not CA in that aspect
