What rear shock should I by for my GS?

I've got a GSXR750 shock that is getting new oil/gas charge, I'm hoping for stiffer spring rate, more damping both compression and rebound, and the ability to ride hard for an hour without having a sore back.

It'll be installed this weekend if the shop has it rebuilt like they said they would on Friday.

Flywheel, do you have standard size tires or higher profile? My rear tire is pretty close to the ground with the Katana shock, but it still clears. I went from 80 series tires back to 70 around the same time, so I may not have noticed too much of a change.

I'm running Sport Demons (excellent tires, btw), but they were on before the changeover. The tire doesn't always touch the ground/floor, but I never experienced a problem with the old shock, regardless of the surface. It's possible that it's not a Katana shock, although the fit is almost perfect.

As for the collar settings, Wrecent, you are correct--I knew it was the opposite of the GS shock, whichever way it turns.
