Passenger backrest for 05 GS500F.....

Despite the opinions on how it might look I am seeking some help......

I have searched this forum along with many others.  I ride with my wife a lot, and she grew up with Harley's and sissy bars.  Not my style....she wants a little more security than just "holding on"  So, I am looking for a passenger backrest for my bike.

I want something like the Corbin seat, the gunfighter and lady seat....I emailed them and they of course dont carry it for my bike, as I read in the posts I found here.  They will, of course, make me a seat if I bring it to California.....I am in VA lol.

I don't want to buy a trunk with backrest, that look does not appeal to me at all.  Any advice?  Am I looking for a custom seat builder or is there something that my forums and google have not shown me yet?

I did see someone on here a year or more ago that made a small (3-4") back rest / sissy bar ... it looked good. .. VERY GOOD! IT was on an  E model but should be a 3 *** mod for you to do your self. I doubt that you will find one aftermarket. I think the other guy made brackets and mounted it to the same bolts as the rear grab bar

Any more info on this would be great.  I have searched and searched, I did see a custom one on a different site but it didn't look safe/secure......
