I got my GS instead of the Buell Blast I was looking at I was behind one of their newer models today in traffic and it completely lacked power, sounded like shaZam! and the vibrations were about to knock the poor kid off.   Not to mention the damn thing looks like it was built for for someone under 5 ft!!!!!!!!!  Love my GS!!!!!!

It does make the perfect beginner motorcycle... but has very little use beyond a the first few months of learning.  The low seat height is very non-intimidating and the bike is even easier to ride around at low speeds than the GS.

I took my MSF course w/ a HD dealership so we used Blasts, and they worked great as training motorcycles.

I've always wondered if Buell was under some sort of contractual obligation to H-D to produce a beginner level motorcycle.
