I removed my tank the other day so I could take out this massive chunk of somone's failed attempt at kreeming. (Run on, I know) I'll get a pic here if I can or anyone wants to see what I took out. But anyway here's my question, My tank mounted petcock I think was turned the wrong way. The on/off selector was facing the left side of the tank, so I could barely see it. So I looked at which hoses were connected where and the on hose was connected to the R tube on the petcock, and the Reserve hose was connected to the O tube. Is this a problem? Should I switch them back? The bike ran before, but I always had it on reserve, thats the way it was when I bought it. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'd like to know if switching them is the right thing to do BEFORE I do it.  ;)

I don't think its a problem, but if you correct the problem it will prevent future comfussion.

If it's working fine, yeah you can take the lazy way out and leave it.  when I bought mine the guy told me that you had to run it on PRIme then just flick it ro ON if it wass going to sit for a while.  Not  a big deal really, I just figured the diaphragm was bad, it happens a lot  :icon_confused:  One day I wen't to clean my carbs and as I got to looking I realized that the hoses were all sorts of f%&ked up.  So, off to Autozone for some fuel line.  Replaced all of them, with all the connections made appropriately.  Everything runs great now, and I don't have to run it on PRIme anymore!!!!! :icon_razz: :icon_razz:  SO, I guess what I'm trying to say is, as long as you've got the tank off why not go ahead and find the fuel hose routing schematic ( I think there's a good one on the Wiki)  and put eveything back right with new fuel line ( like $1 a foot ).  And the selector on the tank mounted petcock should be facing to the right of the tank/inwards.

That is quite a useful bit of information you have just posted, I think you are getting the hang of this Forum thing now.
