Pretty much finished most of the wiring....still have the speedo to do. None of it is secured yet. Found some Dinkywinkaz signals today that I liked. With the iridium lens and orange bulb, I was surprised how bright they are. I installed an electronic flasher to handle the load difference.

Got some mirrors in the mail today as well. I will need to order a couple of mounts, like the ones used on the front brake m/c of the nakid SV. These mirror do not stick out very far but they should be fine.

I just got some new markers and I was really surprised by how bright they were too. I think more visible than stock just because the lens is clear. I saw you were the high bidder on some sv pegs on ebay. I am looking for some too, but I won't bid on those. They should look nice.

All I want from the SV pegs are mounts and pins. I do not like rubber pegs. If you are wanting just the pegs (and if I win them), we could work a deal.

For now, I am going to be using SVS gauges...until I get another set of nakid gauges. Not wild about how they look, I like the nakid much better. But I already had them from a previous race bike build. Maybe with a fly screen they would look better, which I do want. They have some cosmetic damage but work fine. I may be able to shorten the spacers some to move the gauges closer to the triple. The brake reservoir is much closer than it looks, which is the limiting factor right now. Maybe modifing the bracket and rotating the reservoir, the gauges could move even closer to the triple. I switched the reservoir with my 97, they fit each application better now.

edit: I changed the above pic.

I adjusted the reservoir so the gauges sit closer to the triple. Looks much better. I will replace the above pic shortly.

and.....drum roll........

I fired her up!!!!!

Sounds pretty sweet....kinda like a mello rumble. Not too loud. Actually quiter than my 97.

I will need to adjust the carbs for this exhaust, did not like to rev up quickly. The carbs were set to this motor but with a full Yosh exhaust.

I changed it back to a stock GSXR/TL unit. I had a Brembo installed but swapped it with my 97. You can get the Brembo cheap from www.yoyodyne.com something like $15.

Yeah I got a kick out of the name. I got the Dinkywinkaz from a local Cycle Gear. They are made by Motrax. Basically the same as LP.

Sorry that I have not been updating as much. Not much to show when messing with electrical stuff. I will be working or the mold for the tail in the next several days.

Also, I was looking at making a fly screen for both bikes. Similar to the Buell. It looks like a GSXR windscreen has the right profile to fit. Cut it to shape and make a mold. Sweet.

Pulled the GSXR 36mm CV carbs tonight.....dang I am getting old..... What I thought were 150 were actually 160. Had to use a magnifing glass. Installed 150's, set the clip to the second slot and she fired right up. Not running perfectly yet, close though. Once I get it on the street, I will adjust the carbs accordingly.
