Not yet. I was planning on taking it out this weekend but I am going to to wait until I have the tail completely painted. Maybe next weekend.

Dang.. I just remembered I need to make a mounting bracket for the tag. Sometimes I hate street bikes.

Probably under the exhaust. I do not like tags mounted on the s/a or stuffed under the tail.

I am going to have to source some small lights for it.

I have to agree.

One of these days you should get a video up, I wanna hear this thing.

It sounds good. It's not as loud as you would think and has a fairly deep tone for a high reving twin.

Dgyver, did you use that seat foam glue I brought to you?If so,does it seem like it's going to hold OK?I still have that other glue if you need it.

I will have to see if I can record something with my laptop.

Yes I did and it seems to hold extremely well. There are a couple of areas of concern. More of the way the foam has to contour. If it is a problem, I am going to use some clear or black adhesive (similar to liquid nails) on all of the edges.

I should be painting the number plate tomorrow. Then spray the bottom with rubberized underbody coating.
Finishing the brackets for the windscreen is on the list for tomorrow as well.

I also bought another instrument cluster. The one I started with was from my old SV race bike that had been in an endo prior to me converting it. There was some damage to the circuit board which I may not have been able to fix. There was some failing of the tach. Plus the lens' are clearer.

Reasonable... $13 + $3 shipping.
Interesting that they had the same lights (listed under different motorcycles) with 3 different shipping amounts.

Finished the tail today, except for spraying the underside. I am really pleased how it turned out.

The windscreen was completed but I changed my mind on the paint design. I used a windscreen from a 96/7 GSXR600/750 and trimmed it down. I painted the bottom half black (inside of course), then realized that I had enough room to make it a number plate. Not wanting the paint on the outside where it could get chipped. I will use this windscreen on my 97, just need to make another set of brackets.

Figured out the tag holder. Need to get a piece of stainless sheet sheered at work tomorrow and weld up the brackets.

Next will be the chin fairing. The factory one I have had some damage but it has all been repaired. Some sanding and ready to paint. I only have 1 bracket but I do have a simple design for the others.
