Ok, I'm getting my new forks later today (hopefully), and I was thinking that I'd clean em up and paint the lowers. I stole that image from google. That's more or less my bike, '02 black/silver. Or at least, it will be once I get the tail plastics back on.

So what color do I paint the lowers? I wanted gold at first, a la ohlins.. but since they're not USD.. or even nice, that would be poserish. Then I thought black, to go with the paint scheme, but since I don't have a black frame, I'm not really sure about that either. I don't know about any other colors that would look good, but I'll leave an "other" option. If you choose other, please give me the color in a post.

Anyone who can use photoshop well, please feel free to chop that photo up and show me what the various colors would look like (I can photoshop.. but don't have the software anymore.. damn). (Weaze, I'm lookin at YOU!)

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I'd go stock and only change it if it was to match a different color frame

I have tried painting fork legs different colours. Unless they match the frame they look awful.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Black MK2 SV

Yeah, stay with silver to match the frame. Black to match the body would look okak too. You don't want them to really stand out unless they're really cool, otherwise it looks cheesey

Why don't you polish them?

that would be the seck-ssay thing to do.

one of the ghostrider mpg's shows a gixxer setup as a cop bike, with dayglo orange lowers. it really draws the eye. I considered it myself, but didn't. Too lazy.
