I was stopped by a cop on my bike today...

I was heading into night school, when I turned into the admin building to pick up a class selection book for next semester.  Then I remembered that the current book was RIDDLED with mistakes.

I turned around (legally) and started out the drive.

When I came in, there was a cop at the entrance to the parking lot, who stopped another motorist.  There's another cop at the front entrance to the building.  The closest I got to the second cop was about 600-700 yards.

As I'm about to leave the drive and pass the first cop, he points at me and gestures for me to pull over.  So I do.  I've NEVER ran, and never will.

As soon as I stop, the cop asks me where my inspection sticker was.

ME:  Excuse me?  (I kinda didn't hear him cause my helmet was still on.
Cop:  Another officer radio'd me telling me that you didn't have an inspection sticker.
ME:  (Thinking that that was a f*cking bogus statement because the closest I got to the second cop was 600 yards or so...)  Right where it's supposed to be.  (Then I made a face showing my disapproval in the situation)
Cop:  Where's that?
Me:  On the plate.
Cop:  (To the second cop)  Yeah.  He's got a sticker.
Second cop: (says somthing over the radio... I couldn't hear)
Cop:  (Nope.  He's got a legit Mass Sticker on the plate.)
Second cap:  Oh,  ok.
Cop:  You're all set.


At this point, I'm shaking me head in disguist at the whole thing.  After I put my helmet on, I mutter loudly "F*CKING @$$hole".  I was hoping that he would hear me, but he didn't.


I rode off to class thinking about all the assholes I've met today.  One a plus note, when I went to the security complex to get a temp parking tag, I saw that they have a new student officer working there.

That sucks about the cops...just be careful....if they HAD heard ya', they might have FOUND something to getcha for.

I would have demanded he radio his supervisor to come have a chat, especially if the guys cop-cam showed the position of the other car.

Then I would have asked his supervisor to ask the other cop what his due cause was.

Very sloppy police work, not to mention against the law.

When cops  'find' something to get you for and you can prove that they had not intended to stop you for this  ( thank you subpeona of car-recordings )  it is a felony and most departments will immediately suspend the officer if the complaint is even made formally through an attorney.   At least that's how it goes in So. Ga.  ( my moms an attorney so I basically get away with everything )

I'm a pretty damn good shot with an assault rifle, too.   Though I don't see that being a feasible method of beating speeding tickets.
Just for the record I only have 3 points on my license that dissappear this summer.
( though I've been stopped and ticketed 7 times at more than 30 mph over speed limit ) ( haven't been stopped on the GS yet though  ) ( haven't truly run on it either )

you obviously don't get away with everything then. i have a clean record and it's always been spotless, even though i've been pulled over 11 times and been written 4 tickets and drove probably as bad or worse as you in high school. my advice, grow up. your luck (or your mother) will only last so long before those "oops!"'s you laugh at now will ruin your life.

Yeah, I've mellowed out a good bit since all that.  The only thing I've been pulled over for in the last year and a half is a seatbelt violation   The only reason those points were on there is due to an at-fault accident where I kinda slammed into the back of an explorer and flew through my windsheild and their rear windsheild.  I got a citation for following to closely   I've been a lot better driver since getting out of the hospital on that one   Not that I don't like to get out on the country roads and let it wide open, I'm just a lot more cautious about when and how

Try getting pulled over for NOTHING and getting held up by the cops for hours while they try to come up with any excuse to give you a ticket.

try getting pulledat 17, sitting for a few hours, then going to jail for assualt charges from midlle school that had been dropped but didn't get taken out of the system. Then when you go to court the judge says well he can stay in I'm sure we can find something on him.

I used to see a van driving around that had no windows except in the front...  It was kinda beat up with crappy paint...
