Does anyone know why I cannot find DOT-4 brake fluid that is not synthetic? I suppose it doesn't matter, I bought a can of synthetic, cost $1 more. All the can's of DOT-3 were conventional and DOT-4 were synthetic. There is probably a good reason for this.

I also discovered that finding tire irons is pretty much impossible. I managed to find 1, at tractor supply, but alas it was 24" long and cost a whopping $20. Plus they only had one... Napa, Autozone, Pep Boys, Harbor Freight, nada. I snagged a pair on eBay, 15" for $19 shipped. Not too shabby but my wheel changing plans for this weekend are on hold. Couldn't find any rim protectors either, but I figure I can fashion something up. A cut up plastic milk jug seems like it would do the trick.

Feeler gauges seem rare too, they had them at pep boys but after 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come check me out I gave up. Hate that place... Sears website claims to have them, so we'll see. No metric, but the metric ones only go down to 4mm anyway, and the sears one's go from 2 to 8 mm although they're not metric so the units are around 3.05 mm. Close enough.

Now I just need some fork oil and for my progressive spring to arrive. And my brake lines :)

Should be a fun few weeks waiting for MSF.

It's pretty hard to find moto stuff at an Auto-Shop.  You should be able to find pretty much every moto thing you need at a moto shop.
