New to this site.

Hi Everybody,

I am new to this site.  I just bought a 1996 GS 500E two weeks ago.  I drive a 1995 Land Rover Discovery I, and I can only use Premium gas in it.  At almost $3.00 a gal its costing me $65.00 and am only getting 300 miles out of one tank full.  It has been about 25 years since I have ridden, and have been reluctant about getting a bike because I live in Houston, Texas.  I have traveled just about all over the world and driven in those places.  Houston has by far the worst drivers I have ever seen in my life!!!!!

The gas prices drove me to getting my bike.  I am enjoying it, but being carefull.  I will be posting pictures on the site eventually.  I have several modifications planned for it.  I already ordered Vance and Hines pipes for it.  One of my friends is an expert motorcycle mechanic, and he will be doing all the work for me.

A little about me.  I am originally from Burbank, California.  I am here in Houston because of my job.  I am a Lead Aircraft Technician for Continental Airlines.  I was also a flight engineer and flew C-141B's, C-130E's. Lockheed L-188 Electra's, and Boeing 727's.

I will post some pics of those also if you all want some.  Also, if you plan to visit Houston you must keep in mind that you have to set your watch back 200 years.
