So I'm riding along and come to an intersection thats green so I maintain speed. This guy coming from the other direction decides to turn left

I hit the ground

Anyway, the inspiring part. He stopped made sure I was ok, called the police for an incident report. When the police left he offered to help me load my bike into his truck and bring it to the local bike shop. When we got there, the mechanic looked over my bike and said that there was no damage that would cause it to be unrideable even at higher speeds ( right clip on was bent just a smidgen, throttle carrier cracked a little and the handgrip was torn up) The guy takes out his credit card and pays for all the repairs, including the shop straightening my clip-on and a new set of clip ons that should be here monday

I told him the new bars weren't necessary, just pay for the labor and the new handgrips, but he insisted

he was very apologetic and very nice the whole time

This makes me glad that i lged on to check the forum one time before i voyage up to Ohio. Not many people left like this left, wish there were more

Very cool. Major kudos to him. I almost got to leave a boot print on a car TWICE tonight.. but I refrained. The first because it was a really nice benz, the second because there were only the 2 of us on the interstate.. had I kicked him instead of clutching in and revving (boy, he almost shat himself!

), it would have turned into a high speed chase.. I probably would have won.. but not worth risking it...

I really am gonna find a way to carry my baton on the bike.. (plus, I need to get a new horn..)

I was in shock the whole time I think

He didn't really seem like he rode

I think he was just a nice guy who realized a mistake and took care of it

On the flip side of people, I had a gentleman tell me he was going to shoot me if I didn't let him into the club I bounce at

( He was mad at his GF/ one of the strippers) To which I immediately hit the panic button and stuck my kel-tech .380 between his eyes and told him he was going to stand in that same position until the cops came.

30 minutes later he's in the back of a squad car with charges for possesion in a place of alcohol sales, concealed possesion w/out a permit, and possesion of a stolen firearm

Some people are f%$king genius I swear

He then told me he was going to find and kill me. Ding Ding Ding hello felony #4!!!! Roughly he's looking at 15 years if the judge is lenient

Seriously wish he would have made a sudden movement so I could have shot him. The world would have been better off

I'm beggining to hate this job

That's extraordinary. Maybe his first name should be mentioned along with 'great guy' so one day, when he googles himself, he can see how appreciative you and OTHER BIKERS are ?

I already detailed the whole story to the local riding group, and put a rave about it in the paper. As far as my little friend from the club.........I was talking to a buddy of mine who works at the jail, he said that guy started smarting off to a guy 3 times his size and he's in isolation now while he recovers

I think maybe it would have been better for him to if I had shot him

i dunno what kind of financial situation you're in, but i personally would find him and write him a check for part of the repair costs, just to show how appretiative i am. but i'm far too generous most of the time... it's one thing to help you get home and say send me the bill. it's another to take the time out of your day to get everything fixed right away. i wish there were more of him...

He actually called to make sure i was ok still. i told him yeah and everything was fine with the bike

but that was my own damn fault

) Told him i'd buy him a beer at a local bar so he could see everything was good

Turns out one of his nephews was killed on a GSXR1000 2 years back
