Yep...she's gone to a 50 yr old lawyer who wanted to commute to work. He'll be more than happy!
Me, well I bought an '05 FZ6 with only 1273 kms!! for $6,700 CAD. Just wanted more highway power.
So far I've put 1000kms on my FZ and I love it but I can't ride it nearly as hard as my GS ...so far.
Rode my GS for 3 summers (20,000kms) and have zero regrets - fantastic bike as you all know. Probably would still be riding it if I were to use it to just fart around town.

I'll check back from time to time - can't just leave. This place is where I got my start!

Greetings and Wow, good find! I love the style of the FZ6. The person you bought it from didn't ride it much -- hopefully that will change ha.

Cheers,

   I don't think even with a new bike I could bring myself to get rid of the ol GS.

I do like the FZ6 though it's sharp and I think the instrumentation looks really slick :thumb:

I just bought a new bike and desperatly need to get rid of my GS too. I got a new bike for the same reasons, lack of power and comfort on the highway.

I just picked up a 1995 Honda CBR1000F with 29K. The fairings have been crashed off of it so it's got the old school streetfighter style and a single 4 inch headlight (soon to be replaced with something a bit more functional)  I was able to pick it up for $1450 US so hopefully I'll end up ahead after getting rid of my 99 GS.

Right after buying the CBR I had to ride 100miles and the thing was so much more comfortable and powerfull, and it didn't seem to use much more gas either. I very much doubt that it'll ever handle as well as the GS but I want to do more long distance riding and it looks like it'll be a perfect sport tourer, while still being fun in the twisties.

Anyways, I'm collecting my thoughts and will soon post a farewell to the GS post.
