Thanks to help from the guys on the site and complete carb rebuilds along with some other new parts the 99 GS is now running and ridable.

Bike is all stock

Bike starts idles great but has a little issue.

When riding especially between 5000 to 8000 RPM while holding the throttle steady the bike seems to slow and than go kind of like surging. If I give it a little gas it just seems to bog until I crack it wide open that it goes. If I give it full throttle it takes off. It does this in all gears.

Throttle response does not seem to be there except for full throttle.

I am running 3 turn out and idle at 1250.

Can anyone give me some insight on what's wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Lean surge (steady throttle surge = lean surge) between 5-8K. Add washer under needle ... now I sent you the thing right ... my washers are very thick ... I thought 1 was enough and dont send 2 to people cos they might throw both in and have over rich  :o ... so you want me to send you another set of washers ???
Cool.

You must mean the two washers that are still in the bag you sent me. Looks like I forgot something.

And you save the day again.

I am off to go install them.

Thanks again and take care.
