My GS-E, as seen on registration card:

engine power = 32.7 kW, roughly 44 hp.

2001 model made in Japan for Italian market.

Bought third-hand, totally stock (I suppose :dunno_white:).

People don't buy the GS500 for it's HP rating, it's the lack of HP that actually enhances it's excellent cornering ability making it a quick twistie bike for newbies and oldbies alike.    :thumb:
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Ummm...........I'm pretty sure I'll get bitched at about asking this.   How much HP would nitrous add to the ol GS?????   And what would be the risks???

As with any other forced induction application, the hp possabillities are stratosperic and the risks are proportional.

OK  cause someone told me that you could probably run 65+ with it :o  And I was like 'yeah until you burst into a 130mph fireball :icon_confused: '

with the figures listed down to a tenth of a horsepower - are you guys really getting that same tenth with back to back dyno runs, bike unchanged, same dyno, same day?  if you do 10 runs, are you ever getting that same reading down to the tenth more then once?

They don't get the exact same dyno every time.  In many of their articles they describe their process, and it consists of averaging multiple runs.
89, Blue with white racing stripe, Yoshimura exhaust, Corbin seat, -2 front sprocket, F-18 flyscreen.

the only true way to know is use the same dyno same day. some dynoes are more friendly than others.diffrent brands and caliabsion can make a big diffrence. sometimes even diffrent dyno operrators make a diffrence.there can be a 10hp diffrence between dynos! most factory numbers are at flywheel most dyno runs are at realwheel a big difrenice.
