+2 on Commando and especially, Thruxton. Also props to any company named Triumph. British names are just plain cool, thats it.

I think hayabusa is pretty cool. Definitely not the coolest, though...hahaha

Stupid hurts. Dress for the crash, not for the ride.

I know it's not the technical name, but the Yamaha RD's were known as "monster killers" because of their supposed ability to smoke the larger kawi's and honda's of the day.  Someday I will own a wicked cafe'd out RD350.  Right now I have sitting in the garage the YCS1 180. The YC series was the predecessor to the RD series of bikes.  tons of fun.

I'm also partial to the Suzuki T500's which were called the "The Titan". Mainly because the name reminds me of an awesome Nebula song called 'Sonic Titan'.  Ask Jughead more about the T500's.

I'm also with Scratch and others that the Vincent Black Shadow has to be one of the coolest named bikes ever.

Oh, and not that it's a nickname, but I've always like Bultaco's just for the name.

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

Manx and the new Triumph Thruxton look very similar.  Speaking of the Thruxton, since I've been having electrical issues with the GS and have been getting frustrated, the wife and I were looking at different bikes.  She loves the Thruxton and even suggested I go to the bank and see if I can swing the financing.  She is the coolest.

i'm partial to the triumph blackbirds when it comes to old bikes...

my dad's friend has one. i think it's his passion for them that influenced my preference, the way he talks about it. The admiration and love for a machine that, if he walks up to it and there ISN'T an oil spot under it, he knows something's wrong.

No love for the ol Fazer???  Very star trek sounding, kinda ghey bike
GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

Ah yes, Bultaco.......the Metralla, the Alpine, the Matador, the Sherpa......all excellent tools for the job they were designed for.

Other cool names, Norton Manx +1, Norton Commando +!,
Norton Atlas, Triumph Trophy, BSA Spitfire, BSA Lightning, BSA Thunderbolt (all WWII fighter names), BSA Gold Star,
BSA Victor,.......Brit bike names, IMO, just sound and roll off the tongue the best.
It's not how fast you go, rather "how" you go fast!

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
