Can an 87 gsxr front wheel and speedo work for a gs 500?  And vice versa?

....um....why
it's a 18 inch rim
but i'm pretty sure it is the same axle diameter
if you really need to know....i could go measure one....
want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop
