Yeah. It's been discussed. Do a search on here. Also, that engine is nothing like the SV650 except in the fact that it's a v-twin. It's a 250cc 4V air cooled twin, compared to a 650cc 8V liquid cooled twin.

Look closely and you will see a lot of minor differences between the frames. Despite looking similar they are not interchangable.

i have actually done research on this & came to this conclusion: the tank is a straight swap out. the petcock & cap are even identical. the tail will work as long as you include the subframe. i came across exploded parts views (was for a united motors version) to figure this out. i may try to do some trade out for the tank with a cycle shop i do signs for. i'll post an update then, but it is a couple months down the road.

I was going to purchase a used one of those bikes from a local dealer the day I bought my GS500. But I called several times to speak to them about it, and they wouldn't answer. So I went and purchased the GS500.
Kinda glad I did now.
But a local guy here has one of the little GT250's, and that thing runs pretty fine. He has 3 of the little Korean bikes: a single cylinder dual sport, a cruiser type bike, and the GT250. Never has any trouble from them. He beats the little dual sport to death.

The GT250 has a stiffer feeling suspension than my GS500, and has a better feeling ride actually than mine. Sound cooler too, but my exaust is stock.

I almost bought one of those too. I ended up getting a GS instead since a used one was about half the price. They are nice looking bikes and ride nice from what I understand, but I wasn't too sure about paying more than a 250 ninja for a lesser known manufacturer. The only real advantage over the ninja I could find is that it looks better... The other thing that turned me off is that all of the dealer's in my area are rather odd. No actual motorcycle dealers, most were boat/rv/pool stores. Not sure how much I trust a dealer that's not really a dedicated motorcycle dealer and is new to motorcycles in general.

I love the styling though. The GV bikes are really nice looking especially.

Funny little story:

I met up with MrHyde for a quick toot last Sunday, and we came upon a Hyosung 250. It doesn't look too great in pictures, but in person, it looks great! The sound from the 250 isn't bad either.

But here is the interesting story:

Serp is a hell of a rider even with his bum leg. He got himself a 250, and landed up throwing the engine into detonation mode.

I've seen a couple of these up close. The local asshat Hundai car dealer tries to sell these (and Aprilia/Moto Guzzi ?!?).
Build quality isn't very good. Like scaled up pocketbikes that they sell at AutoZone.

Well at least the waranty was honored within a resonable ammount of time. That guy sounds like he dosn't believe in engine break ins  I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I think the 240mile trip at 90mph at 10,000rpm may have had something to do with it.    pretty impressive that a 250 can get going that fast. I just don't think that extended 90mph freeway duty is in the cards for a 250. Try that with a honda rebel    A ninja might be able to do it I suppose.

Maybe I'm totally wrong, but doesn't that happen on ANY engine when you put a seriously hot spark plug in and then run the piss out of the bike like theres no tomorrow?

You're way off. That's what happens when your valves impact your piston. Read the guy's thread.
