Picked up my second GS today. 2002 with 119 original miles off of craigslist. Got a steal at $1200. I thought it would be completely stock, but was pleasantly surprised to find a full V&H system, K&N pod, and must be jetted too, and a renthal bar on it. Cool, just adds to the deal.

I am going to transfer most of the goodies off the 91 on to this one and sell the 91. I used the GS to commute to school on every day these past 2 years, and won't be needing it after i graduate, so my girlfriend is going to take it over. I have since drained the gas and carbs, moved the rear signals to the front, and put short signals on the rear. Put air in the tires. Taken the clutch safety switch off, that prevents it from starting w/o clutch pull.(hate that). I have run a tank of race gas through it to help clean some stuff out, and have effectively put double the miles on it, since I got it.

and there it is
Twisty stuff is for me

Nice looking bike.  Damn good price too!

Welcome to the bottom fisher's club.   :icon_mrgreen:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

nice man! i wonder what made the PO sell it with so many farkles and so few miles...  :dunno_white:

ohgood

I wish you hadn't let the cat out of the craigslist bag.

;)

Ya, awesome deals (steals) thanks to that fella.

Congrats to finding a great bike for a great price.

Will you be breaking it in (just easy riding) for a few hundred miles to make sure nothing is frozen/loose/weird since the mileage is so low ?

enjoy it !

Congrats, that's a great looking bike. I have the identical one, minus the bars (I have clipons), and the V&H (I have a wileyco CF slipon, and will install it soon)

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
