Only reason im asking is becuase my first bike was a GS125 and as far as i can tell they are completley different bikes the GS500.
Does the GS125 have anything in common apart from the name?

Not just the GS125, but any other bike with GS in the name.

Is it the style of engine maybe?  :dunno_white:

lol,

Overhead cams, is that all?  I thought it would be much more complicated than that.

Thanks for the quick reply!

GS stands for Goverhead Sams. They are similar to overhead cams but they make more hammering yammering noises.

Yup....   GSX  overhead cam inline 4

GSXR  overhead cam inline 4 race

In the Suzuki nomenclature X stands for 4 valves per cylinder, not 4 cylinders
