I remember my first time out in traffic. I almost got hit. well what happened was a huge old person car was right next to me and the lane I was in and he was in combined. well as they say other drivers dont see motorcycles, well he couldn't see me obivisly, he almost ran me off the road. I just remember the road on my side just kept getting smaller and smaller. and I froze I didn't hit the brakes nor did I accelllerate.  I just stayed there like a dope :? .  Either he accellerated or I did. but that scared the crap out of me. :o
Does anyone else have any memerable times

I remember coming back one with marucio and marcello.

We got stuck with a band of Harley totters.. a huge band... about 200+ bikes.. and here we are, one harley rider, one Gixxer rider and one GS500 rider..

Ofcourse marucio calmly just joined the group .. but marcello and I had a hard time being cut off and basically the harley riders trying to show they have power.. yes I know it was for marcello because of his gixxer but still..

But then I we got behind a biker chick on a harley and cruised our way in.. Once we hit teh 10 freeway (the mclure tunnel was hell.. damn those bike exhausts are LOUD) we lost them (well we couldtn truely lose them cause marucio was on his harley.. but atleast we left a trail of dust for a while.

I remember in my MSF class being the only student to get into 3rd gear!!! in a parking lot, hehe that was fun.

But my first real riding experience was 4months after my MSF I bought my lil ol GS.  I was so freaked out about merging onto traffic (I had to ride it home ~10 miles from the used dealer) that Once I got onto the main road I slammed it open Vrrrrrrrr Click, shifted Vrrrrrrr, Click Vrrrrrrrrr click Vrrrrrrr  Oh shaZam! Im doing like 70-80 down a road that is limited to 45. So I slow down,  turn off the main road, go wide and went across the center line (phew-no oncoming traffic) then it dies.  The f%$king shop didn't put gas in the bike. So I switch to res and take off again, crusing through backroads.  Then onto a main road again, So I get going at 45mph and start thinking to myself (hey those guys on TV...) so I get into a full MotoGP racing tuck.    hehehehe It cracks me up now...  :thumb:

I remember at my MSF course, we were all listening to the instructor, parked in a line...bikes OFF.  This girl on the end, one minute was straddling her bike, the next, she was on the ground.  She just lost balance, standing there over a 250cc machine!!  What I really remember is her HELMET smacking the asphalt...and only her pride was hurt.  Good lesson on gear.

When I took my msf course we had a woman who had lost her brother and husband in seperate motorcycle accidents.  And here she was taking the class.  (Obviously thats not funny)  The funny part was when we had our 1st riding portion of the class and she wore these boots that had a 3 inch heel or something.  Spikey ones too!  You know its not gonna work when even the men in the group are saying "What he hell is she thinking?"  and  "How can she ride in those?"
She did not pass the course.. she could not ride in those boots!

Also has another woman who wasn't "into" turning.  Instructor asked her if she was going to just drive straight all the time?  I don't think she passed either.   :?   It was funny and she took it well.
