I just purchased a 1991 Honda 750 Night Hawk. does anyone have an opinion about these bikes?

Good ... watch out for cam chain tensioners ... they dont go bad that often, but if they do, its a nightmare. The hydraulic vlaves are good, but kill the revving ability ... I hate the chain drive, the 83-85 was a 650 with shaft drive and much better IMHO ... but you got a good one cos the 750 save for chain drive is pretty much evolutionary from the 650 of 83-85.
Cool.

Congrats on your new bike! Glad ya' didn't end up with one of Srinath's Salvages. Why? Cuz those bikes are only good in California....cuz Srinath needs to move to California...you can, too, theopsmanager. ;)

Oh yeah...and congrats again!!!  :thumb:

The manager at my local parts store rides one. :thumb:  It would be a nice bike but he's a Tard and was trying to race.  He lowsided it at like 70 :o  So it's beat to hell on one side now, but it still runs great.

I wish that I could have found a GS but this was available locally. I will probably trade it for a nice gs or sv.

hehe now why would you do that !?  the 750 night hawk seems pretty nice . i almost bought one back when i was 18 but could not come up with the 3k the guy wanted for it :( i rode it and it was pretty smooth and nice .

It's a nice, generic, solid, souless UJM (universal Japanese Motorcycle).

So it's similar to the GS then.

The more I look at it the more I am starting to like it. I am going to do a few mods this weekend. I am trying to see if I can find some clip ons or clubman bars that will fit it and see how that looks. I am also trying to find a solo tail for it.

Clip-ons/better bars :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Solo Tail: I don't see it happening unless you can fiberglass and you fab your own :o :o

The NH has the potential to be  a mean street bike, but it's gonna take some work to get it there.   Hmmmm, a lot like the GS

Guess mine does have it's own personality, it just happens to be that of someone who wants to lay down all the time.
