So I am going to upgrade my front springs with Racetech.  I plan to go with the .90kg/mm.  I ride pretty aggressive so I figure the .90s are the best way to go.  I was wondering how easy it is to change the springs?  Do I have to change the seals if they are still good?

Totally random.. but can I recommend sonic springs instead? Some of the best customer service I've ever had.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Follow the Alpha links and stumble your way through the things the links don't explain well enough. It's kinda like a rite of passage for GSers.

gs500 K2 (blue/silver) + Pirelli Sport Demon tires, Pro 6 stainless brake lines (front/rear), Racetech .85 kg/mm fork springs, 15w Motul fork oil, Kat 600 rear shock, K+N drop in air filter, Kisan PathBlazer/Tailblazer modulators, Oxford heated grips and a Givi A240 flyscreen.

If it's not clear in the Wiki, then change it so it is. That's the beauty of it.

Indy Superbike has the Race Tech's for $79.95 + about $11 shipping (to Kansas).  I bought a set last night, so I can't comment on the customer service.

rangerbrown

when i got mine i called race tech and went thought all the specs with them on what i thought i needed.

got the stiffest race and the eilmuator (spell) for around 250 or so may have been a lot cheaper as i was workign for cycle gear at the time.
nee down mother F***ers

turd, apparently i'm too light for their calculations... they said N/A for the spring rate for a 140lb rider... i feel so little... :dunno_white: i'll go with .80s. i have the kat750 rear shock on 4 , coil on 5 and it barely moves when i sit on the bike.

Turd Ferguson

Hahaha, you probably ruined the calculator.  I'd stick with 0.80's if I were you.

I weigh about 135 without gear, and I got .8 with 5w oil, with a kat shock, and I'm happy.
