My son who has ridden more years than I have is now riding my old 97 GS500E.  Just knew I'd someday get him to park his liter bikes and get something more practical to ride, actually a recently failed oil pump put him on the mighty little GS.  Chasing him should be so much easier now that the playing field has been leveled a bit.

He's the one with the white hair, logs on gstwins as jp but doesn't post much:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Chasing should be easier?!  What did you do, teach him all of your tricks (on how to go fast)?  :icon_lol:

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

He went too fast years before I started to ride.  Must have been the good genes he was born with, made him a natural.

My youngest grandson will be 18 tomorrow, he's John's (jp) 2nd son.  My oldest grandson is 34 now but there hasn't been much interest in riding expressed by any of them.  We lost the only grandson that did ride a bit offroad and had passed his bike license test down in Kentucky.  He was in the 101st and living at Ft Campbell at the time.

On the other hand my oldest greatgrandson is 4 1/2 now and his sister is 3 1/2 and they call me biker, could be one of them will be first.  Have five greatgrandchidren so far, I'm sure at least one of them will be a biker.   :thumb:

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

Sorry for the loss of your grandson, Jack...bless his heart for serving.

Perhaps a mini-bike is in order for Christmas for one of the young'uns?  :icon_twisted:

Thanks Pandy, I let the greatgrandchildren's "rich" grandparents buy the fancy presents now, we're long retired.
