Yup....so i haven't posted on here in a while...i have been so damn busy at work. Anyways I went to get some food last night after waiting for the UPS guy to finally show up with a package from my dad containing his last will and testament (he is still alive) but that is still nerve racking to receive. so i get my food and start to head home, California stop at a red light to turn right, look back to see if traffic is coming and turn around to see my bike heading right for the curb.....hahahaha all i could do was let it kinda fall over and i jumped and gorilla crawled on my hands to break my fall. RIDICULES. No one stopped at all....which i am pissed and slightly relieved about due to my embarrassment.

   Anyways, bike is fine except for the fact that i broke the knub off my brake lever....so if anyone has suggestions for other brake and clutch levers that will fit my bike, i am currently looking but having no luck as usual. i would actually like to stray away from the 2001 style GS500E levers and get something different.

Yours humbly;

Jai war machine

Good to see you are not reporting physical injury.  The only way to assure that its your only wreck is to stop riding.....  I'll take me chances!  Use the mirrors.

Glad you're not hurt.

First time I dropped my bike was in front of about ten cadets (I'm one of their instructors)... I was doing less than 1mph!  :oops: Soooo embarrassing! Slipped off the concrete path I was parking on and onto the grass - bike went thud and I looked around to see just how many witnesses their were.

In typical fashion, the only time I've had an accident with another vehicle I managed to stay on my bike, with no damage to the bike or me but with a nice scrape to the car and the round plasic thing that covers a car wheel ripped off and damaged so that it couldn't fit back on again. Thing is I was on my old 125 and was gutted that there was no damage to it as there was no question that the car driver was at fault and I could have done with some bit on it replacing. Lol.

Glad to hear you weren't injured! Sounds like you need to plan ahead a little better... Hitting fixed objects like curbs is not a good sign. Also, California rolls might be fine in your car, but you really don't want to get run over when you're on your bike. You should stop fully and give yourself some time to consider your next move to avoid this exact kind of situation...

Glad you aren't hurt and the GS is just wounded.

Never assume you won't have another crash. Always ride like you're expecting it and therefore being cautious of your own mistakes and most of all assume the dumb-ass cagers out there are trying to kill you.  :o
